About Us
My family and I moved to Helena in 2011. We drove for 3 days with three young children, two dogs, four special plants, and a plethora of critters that my son could not live without. I knew no one (that I could impose on, at least) and did not feel comfortable with the backgrounds of workers or the exorbitant prices of large local moving companies. When we rolled out of the the moving truck, disheveled and tired, moving day was not fun.
Out of this uncomfortable experience, StrongBacks4U
was born. I found a few crew members who were strong, hard working, passed a rigorous background check, and most of all were kind and family friendly. We started being that safe and reasonably priced alternative that was absent when I moved to town. As we progressed, clients became more and more pleased, and the phone started ringing more.
We now average helping over 1000 families in the Helena area (and a bit beyond) a year, and have enough teams to help you at your convenience, seven days a week. We are proud of the number of repeat and referral customers we continue to serve.
We are locally owned and operated, with outstanding customer service as our continual goal. Every team member goes through an extensive vetting process and training to make sure your experience on moving day is a good one.

Residential Loading and Unloading
Perfect for do-it-yourselfers adhering to a strict budget. We are happy to provide just labour to load or unload your truck. Our teams work quickly and carefully for you.
In-Town Residential and Business moving
We provide/drive a truck and all moving supplies and tools needed to get you from one address to the other. Equipment charges are kept to an industry low.
Full Service One Way Moving
We can move you to, or from, the Helena are connecting anywhere in the continental United States. You get to choose the load date, the unload date, and have the same contact person with whom you have and worked with throuought your move. We have helped clients as far away as Florida, New Hampshire, Washington, and California- all at about HALF the cost of corporate van lines. And, of course, we serve every nook and cranny in Montana too.
Small/Single Item Moves
Even if you just need to get a treadmill or a couch from one room to another, or move a dresser across town, we can help you. We also do what we can to keep costs low on jobs like these.
Piano Moving
As the official mover of the Helena Symphony, we are quite proud of our piano moving skills. We moved the heaviest and most expensive Concert Grand Piano in Helena hours before being played by a world class performer. Also, since 2017, we move a dozen pianos of all sizes each year for our local school districts music festival. We have all of the tools and experience necessary to move any piano, large or small, with or without stairs, with the upmost care.
Gun Safes
We can get your gun safe (up to 2000 punds) right where you want it, be it in the garage, basement, or even up a flight of stairs. All without injury or dry wall repairs.
Pool Tables
We are able to move pool tables without moving the slate, so, no need to re-felt! We also have the proper tools and experience to move tables up or down stairs.
Derbis Removal
If you have a pile of unwanted furniture, boxes, or trash after your move or reorganize, we are happy to pick it up, give what we can to charity, and dispose of the rest.
Packing Services
We have a specialized team trained to pack your kitchen, knick-knacks, books, clothes, and wall-art so they travel beautifully.
